San Marzano

This tomato has a long history dating back to the 1500s. Documented evidence in 1902 says San Marzano is a cross between King Umberto, Fiaschella and Fiascona. Today, it is considered by many chefs to be the best sauce tomatoes in the world. For us, San Marzano is an excellent, incredibly prolific paste tomato. Great market variety. Indeterminate. Organic.
